Following its acquisition of the Polish Stokrotka chain this year, Lithuania’s Maxima Grupe has bought 100% of north-western regional operator Sano. The takeover adds a further 36 outlets to Stokrotka’s Polish portfolio, which now numbers 551 stores. In 2017, Sano’s turnover was over EUR71 million.

“The Sano acquisition will let us strengthen positions in the north-west region of Poland. We will also take advantage of Sano know-how in eCommerce which will open new opportunities for business development.“ said Maxima Grupe CEO Dalius Misiunas.
